Jenny recently had a poetry unit in her Language Arts class at school and had to write some poems. Here are 2 poems that she wrote during that time.
The Fish
you hear swimming
so calm you can see the bottom
The storm
comes up fast
you can smell
the rain and salt
The wind
flies through your hair
Blows the waves
over your feet
All of the sudden
there is not a cloud
in the sky
all is calm
you laugh
for the fun of it
JLH
Blue grass
over rolling meadows
trampled by hooves and
eaten by elegant horses
barns full of mares expectant
corrals of fillys and colts
more barns for stallions
and more for saddle horses
Graceful, fiery stallions racing
across the paddocks in the morning mist
Warning! Don't wake me up, let me
Dream on!

The AFLAC Scam
The AFLAC Scam
Watch out for this scam. Police say that the gang usually is comprised of four members, one adult and three younger ones.
While the three younger ones, all appearing sweet and innocent, divert their "mark" (or intended target) with a show of friendliness , the fourth -- the eldest -- sneaks in from behind the person's back to expertly rifle through his or her pockets and purses or bags for any valuables being carried.
The picture below shows the gang in operation.

Urgent Prayer Request
Urgent prayer is needed for Bud Holliday and the Holliday family. Bud has been in the hospital for over a week. He started out with a blood infection that they didn't know the cause of. They finally figured out the cause and were starting to treat it, but he now has pneumonia and is comatose. Pray for his spiritual condition first and foremost and then if the Lord wills -- for healing. His parents have been praying that God would do whatever it takes to get him and the other unsaved children back to God.
